Grief & Trauma

SPECIALTY

I was drawn to this work by a desire to help and serve people, and I'm very comfortable sitting with people in pain. My goal is to be the best thing about a person's worst day. I work with women and men in individual therapy and with children as young as 4, and I offer play therapy for kids ages 4 to 10.

I have extensive training in grief and trauma, including abuse of every kind, spiritual abuse, pregnancy loss, and disenfranchised grief, the kind society often overlooks, like job loss, pregnancy loss, or divorce. I also work with anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. I especially love working with kids and teens as they adjust to life's hardships and transitions.

I approach treatment holistically, looking at body, mind, spirit, emotions, and relationships. We explore which areas are out of balance and apply practical tools cognitively, emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. Expect warmth, genuineness, empathy, and total acceptance of your whole person, at your own pace, with honest conversation. I offer in-person and telehealth appointments.

Spirituality is the pillar that resonates most with me. It helps us find meaning through suffering and grounds us in our values. Outside of work, I love time with my husband, our two teenagers, and our church family, where I enjoy working with kids and youth. I also love football, reading, and quiet time to relax.
