Danielle Wilson

Graduate Counseling Intern

I'm a graduate counseling intern at A Sustainable Mind, supervised by Laura Ritchie, LPC-S, completing my Master of Arts in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary, a program that integrates biblical and theological training with counseling theory and technique. I earned my bachelor's degree in communication from Texas A&M University, and I'm a trained Prepare and Enrich facilitator.

I believe I'm called to bear witness to the vulnerable, the lonely, and the brokenhearted. My own experiences with grief, loss, and foster parenting, along with time spent serving teen moms, teens, and bereaved mothers, deepened my desire to help others in a clinical setting. I work with women ages 15 to 50 navigating identity, relationships, and loss, with a heart for parents walking through pregnancy and child loss and for mothers in postpartum and parenting seasons.

My approach is person-centered, through a trauma-informed lens. Expect a safe space where you feel seen, unrushed, and attuned to. Struggling with mental health does not indicate a lack of faith, effort, or strength. I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.

Spirituality resonates with me most. I believe it's the rock everything else rests on, shaping how we move through joy and sorrow. Outside of work I love cooking, creating, time in nature, and adventures with my family, along with my neighborhood, church family group, WFISD, and Young Life. I've also developed a growing interest in bird watching.
